about
I currently work at UCSF, as the Multimedia and Web Producer for the Clinical and Translational Institute. This collaborative initiatitive is funded by the National Institute of Health, and includes the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Radiology, and Dentistry.
I previously worked as a Web Producer for the Public Library of Science (PLoS), and open-access publisher. Scientific research should be available to all, and I believe technology can make the difference in making this happen. And before this, I had worked at Techsoup.org, which also (wisely) chose to use a Creative Commons licensing model.
These days, I often go to sleep thinking about web design, information architecture, and the beauty of open source and online communities.
And when I don’t geek out on my computer or in my dreams?
You’ll find me at a local coffee shop, reading a book, or three… about art, design, management, photography, music, poetry, psychology, cats, food, wine, yoga, bodywork, and the many arts of living.
